100%. This fallacy that Clement hasn't had money to spend drives me crazy. He's been backed and he's failed. There is nothing to suggest he is the manager to take us forward. For all his bluster when he was appointed, he's not backed up a single word of what he promised. Like Beale, the warning signs were there in pre-season, then we were told not to expect anything this season as its a "project" and far to many bought into this, including the players. It's time to draw a line under Clement's disastrous reign, Patrick Stewart said Clement would be judged on performances and results, if that's true, how many more defeats is he allowed? In reality he should have been sacked months ago, but we've allowed him to drag us down to depths not seen in years.

No one will get more out of this group of players most of whom were bargain basement signings because we didn’t have the funds to buy quality

Are we going to get a better coach? I don't think we should go for a new coach now when new owners will then want their own appointment two months later. I was working on the assumption that it would only be a temporary appointment which would hamper us in Europe.

The only chink of light to this season is the European form, which would be hampered by sacking him. A new, or temporary, manager would have nothing to play for and cost money - and any potential new owners may be wanting to change it in the summer anyway. It's a waste of money. I'd just keep him in situ until then. There's nothing much to play for anyway.

UEFA have absolutely nailed this format. Its top notch. A lot of pundits using football snobbery and entitlement saying Liverpool shouldnt be playing PSG at this stage because they topped Phase 1, yet thats an insult to the teams who bettered PSG (and Real Madrid and Man City) in the league. Also there shouldnt be a Madrid or German Derby. That is garbage - Do they want to just hand pick the big teams. Its a cup competition and anyone should be able to play anyone.

We spent £16m this season. Is that not enough? There are numerous coaches currently out of work that I'd be happy to appoint; any one of whom would get more out of our squad. IMO, of course.

I would always say in the past there would be top coaches who would gladly take the position. Now everything is all out in public how badly run the club is and its going to be really difficult to find the right guy. I wanted Muscat before Clements but I doubt he would come anywhere near the club now.

I know I've argued for keeping PC in situ until the end of the season, but I think a better coach would get more out of this team. There are little funds but we're making progress with our squad rebuild.

It looks like the end might not be far away for Clement but it’s fanciful to think we’re going to get a new manager who’ll get more out of this group of mediocre players most of whom are contracted beyond this season and will also have very little funds to bring in better quality players

Fucking embarrassing yet again. Clement does not have a clue, any good wins he's had must have been luck or down to poor opposition performance - that's my conclusion now. If we are getting beat off Queens Park and St Mirren, at home, there is a big big problem with the coaching.

It used to be completely against the run of play when teams like this scored at Ibrox. St Mirren are well worthy of this lead. Mortifying stuff. The timing of the 49ers talks is surely the only reason Clement is still in a job.
