    Letizi

I've been impressed with him from the off. He's looked calm, confident and assured without Ron's horrible arrogance, and I think the fans will take to him. He dealt brilliantly with everything thrown at him, and produced initially a great save from O'Donnell before being unlucky with the rebound. This is why I trust PLG; I wasn't sure about Letizi but put blind faith in PLG that he knew what he was doing bringing the guy in, and so far he's been completely justified,
  2. The only downsides to our performance were: 1: The time it took Clement to get up to speed with the game. He wasn't at the races in the first half at all. 2: The fact we still resorted to punted balls from deep inside our own half, particularly from Svensson and Rod. This wasn't as frequent as it had been, but it was still ugly although one such punt did put Buffel clean through.
  3. Hutton did alright on Sunday but it's as much as we're going to get from him. He's just a bit average with the occasional capacity of excelling himself. I don't think PLG really rates him, he just doesn't have any alternatives. Ricksen isn't going to come back and turn into Cafu so imho we have to look elsewhere.

    Underhill

The kick out was a disgrace and a straight red.

Hutton is in for the time being. And I know it's not shared by others, but I thought his performance today was acceptable, more than. And I've been one of his harshest critics. As for Hemdani, he'll have to be dropped to make way for Barry. Kinda a reversal of Hemdani's fortunes last season when Boab was dropped to make way for him.
  6. Oh aye, in the matches against Celtic if he could turn into Ronaldinho I'd be most happy.
  7. There was a very loud rendition of 'who's the fenian in the black'. Yup Mr Murray, we're making progress...
  8. Brian Gilmour got on for a few minutes at the end of the game, but that was it. Very poor.
  9. Well after all the divided opinion on this lad and all the argument about whether PLG was right to let him go, I was of the camp which was glad to see him go and felt he was no better than rank mediocrity. Today's performance proved me and those who shared my view to be absolutely correct. He was the epitome of average and stood out only for how much he didn't stand out. PLG was dead on correct to get rid of him, and keep Adam.

Today's system worked really, really well - a lovely balance in midfield and attack that we've not had in so long. But PLG really has a headache in that there is no way to accomodate Boyd or Sebo (when he arrives) at all. How can you drop Adam after he played like that? You can't. You also can't drop Sionko, and Prso is very unlikely to be dropped given what he can give the team. Buffel is surely in for good as well. And then there is Burke and Ferguson. I have to say it must be a nice problem to have, and it's going to be very interesting to see how he sets about dealing with it.
  11. Difference is we don't flood our home games with the NI flag. We have a mix of UJ's and Saltires. Celtic almost exclusively have tricolours at Parkhead.

    Setanta

I don't mind Crocker - he's good enough. Lovell might as well be Scottish, he's been up here for long enough.
  13. Shakthar Donesk. And I'd bet they bid 500k.
  14. Danny

    Setanta

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure what his role is now - he did all of Rangers' pre-season games.

    Setanta

Rob is still there - I think the other 2 were just binned.
  16. If I don't like the above, that makes me a tim? Nice logic.
  17. Danny

    Setanta

Yes, it's all change on Setanta except the presenter. Booth is now the in-studio pundit (And he's not very good), and Burley's the co-commentator along with Crocker. Stuart Lovell has now taken Booth's old role.
  18. Bradford City's under 19's.
  19. Yes, congenital xenophobia, bigotry, sectarianism and racism is truly to be admired.
  20. Aye - basically as soon as Magic scored Killie just gave up. I honestly thought Killie could have got something out of that game if they hadn't let their heads go down so easily. That Naismith is the one player from the SPL I'd be happy to see at Ibrox though - a very good wee player.
  21. Hibs will be lucky to finish 4th. In fact, I see them further down than that. They'll struggle this season imo.
  22. It wasn't Bradford City, it was their under 19's. And yes, Boyd got a double hat trick.

    Rumour...

He's trying to claim we're about to sign Skacel.
  24. Danny

    Rumour...

Uh oh, a Dunn rumour... Help mah boab.
  25. He's a rank average player and hasn't impressed for well over a season. If PLG can somehow turn him into something decent then fair enough, but I don't see it.
