  1. Remember the words of Marvin Andrews.

  2. It does but we need to get rid of this stage fright we get when they drop points. We had made some progress on the goal difference but then Aberdeen gave them a big help at parkhead a few weeks back..

  3. Players have more agency in this than we're giving them credit for. If we approach Hearts for example and make a bid of say £1.5 mil for Shankland Hearts are within their rights to say 'no' for a variety of good reasons, not least their inability to replace Shankland and his contribution to their side. But, if Shankland knows moving to Rangers would give him a signing on fee of say £500,000 and see his salary treble, he's perfectly entitled to go to Hearts and say 'you're stopping me bettering myself and my livelihood, will you match Rangers salary offer'? If Hearts say 'no, you've got a contract honour it', then they've an unhappy player and, potentially unrest in their changing room, as it won't be just Shankland speaking with their agent about this. Shankland has 18 months left on his Hearts contract, he's a diminishing asset, worth less now than last summer and worth less next summer if he doesn't sign a contract extension. Hearts would need to weigh up criticism from their support and the loss of an important player, with cashing in on a player who by that point may no longer want to be there. This is the same scenario if we made a bid for an Aberdeen player or a Hibs player or any club in Scotland with the exception of Celtic. It's all very well for Aberdeen or whoever to play hardball and demand well over the odds for a player, but it's not without consequences not least pressure from the player himself. It was reported that the reason we allowed Sakala to leave in the summer was the offer made to him by the Saudi side was not one we could match and so we wouldn't stand in his way. I expect it was the same with Aribo and Bassey the summer before. Every club has to balance the books, keep their support onside and their playing squad happy. It's easier for Aberdeen or Hearts to convince a potential signing to join if they can point to a 'pathway' to a bigger club with higher salaries, even if the club is Rangers.

  4. Take Aberdeen results out of the equation and we'd be top on GD with a game in hand. Annoyingly.

  11. The Cup final is the most important. Win that and we will have serious bounce heading into January

  12. I'm not being funny but the police treat football fans like cattle, look at the new supporter bus legislation coming through for an example. They'll have no sympathy with me until they start treating fans like the humans that they are (even if they are coked and tanked up, but again, drinks at the game?!)

  13. Being filmed, harassed and treated like subhumans by the Police are reasons why. The point is fairly obvious. ACAB (or 1312, if you prefer the covert version) is a fairly standard slogan for any Ultras group, which you can see all over Europe. I don't think it's worthwhile, personally but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Certainly not worthy of a thread.

  14. I think I said on another thread that if we make it past the game at Parkhead unbeaten domestically (+ LC win) then we'll win the league. The only reason I think that wouldn't happen and we do go unbeaten in this time is our medical department and the players injury records (mentality?), to put it bluntly. It also hinges on us signing a striker in January, I was a Shankland doubter but signing him in January whilst Danilo is crocked is pretty much a priority now and I'd suggest it would give us impetus in the title race. Of the 8 league games we've got up to Parkhead since the last intl break we're unbeaten in 4 and have won all but one (Aberdeen (a)), i.e we're halfway to the target. It's a miracle that we're still in this tbh. Come all ye faithful and back the players, they haven't warranted the support but they won't win this league on their own. Cheers.

  15. We just need to keep winning and also focus on January recruitment. The game in hand follows trips to Seville and Hampden but is just as important as either of those.

  16. Not for me. I think we persist with McCausland, he is doing well and will improve with more game time.

  28. It's there every week. Comes across as childish, as does the chant. Perhaps some of their complaints as highlighted by Gonzo are valid, but it's not as if they're all angels. They can't get up to some of the stuff that they do and not expect an increased examination. I'm sure there's faults on both sides.

  30. alexscottislegend as one of our number proclaims every time he visits the Board and note my username. We’ve had better players than him but there was never a more thrilling sight at Ibrox than Scott racing down the wing. A taxi driver in Liverpool was waxing eloquent on an old-time Scottish winger that played for Everton. I asked if it was Tommy Ring. I got a pitying look.

  32. Would Killie's Danny Armstrong add to our right side going forward? Anytime I have watched the lad he has been impressive including the game last season when he saw red against us at Rugby Park. Would he be another Jordan Jones?

  34. Whilst we are trying to solve our striking issue, he's come in and scored a goal, nearly set up a another. I'm happy enough with that. Was it perfect? Far from it but if it helps us gain three points, that will do for me.

  36. How's that player trading model coming along? Y'know, the one that was going to appear no later than the middle of last week. Not that I'm interested myself you understand, I just wondered if it's similar to others I've seen online? 😂

  37. The Summer was a disaster, all thanks to Mick Beale. Clement has his work cut out to fix it. We need better forwards and midfielders and people who don't constantly get injured and we need them pronto (the defence can wait until Summer).
