  1. We couldn't finish first in the Scottish second tier last season.
  2. How on earth will they get an unbiased jury?
  3. Klopp and Ancelloti are shorter odds with Klopp favourite. Lot of Makems want him for S'land. Lot of Makems don't.
  4. "Forest, Derby, Sheff Wed, Leeds, Charlton, Middlesboro, Fulham, Bolton" Add Wolves, Sheffield Utd, Burnley and that would be a decent league to play in
  5. You most certainly may, dB.
  6. Who's next to try to fill the Shankly/Paisley boots? Only KD has come close.
  7. I was right in line behind Kai, high up on the terracing. I'd swear he was outside the box. I saw his foot go back and I saw the ball in the net. Never saw the ball in flight.
  8. The 0 - 4 thrashing was a G Cup thrashing. I think it came a couple of season's after Kai's final. Lou Macari and a lot of other kids played that night. The press had stories about Stein sending out his apprentice boys to do the job. The 5 -1 debacle was 2 January 1966 and Davy did indeed open the scoring in the second minute. Rangers still led 0 - 1 at half-time.
  9. A squad of minnows compared to the Woodburn/Reilly or Law/Baxter or McQueen/Dalglish eras.
  10. Those two don't fit Tsb's job description and neither does my favourite tough guy, Mr Harry Davis demolition man supreme.
  11. City's defence is poor and has been for. They spent a lot of money on Mangala (?) last season and some other bloke this season whose name I can't spell because I've forgotten it plus Fernando/inho who are anonymous and di Michaelis who is past it. Nasri isn't Silva and Aguero can't do it all by himself every week. I predict with heavy heart that Chelsea will finish above City this year and United above them both unless Sanchez can drive Arsenal on a 10 - 12 match unbeaten run.
  12. I've always favoured the spare defender. Call him the insurance man.
  13. "We had a fantastic side back then and if the Champions League was run back then as it is now Rangers would have won it that year." That team didn't even win the Scottish league
  14. Correct. I suspect the good doctor knows that as well.
  15. AMc back at Ibrox is fine - paying at the gate.
  16. "A Sports Medicine Expert couldn't become a GP, could they?" After a short re-training course, yes. A medical practitioner is a medical practitioner. This one just happens to specialise in sports but in the caverns of her memory she'll know the cure for measles.
  17. "You are correct that an appeal has to be on a point of law or based on new evidence (unlikely in this situation), you cannot simply reargue the original case and hope for a different outcome." - BH. I don't know about tax cases but in civil cases you can argue the same point of law from the Sheriff, to the Sheriff Principal to the Court of Session to the SC. By the time you get there at least four, maybe as many as nine judges will have found against you but you can win 3 - 2 in the SC. An extreme example but possible, all on a single point of law.
  18. "I would argue that a Football Doctor and a GP are two distinct branches, with separate roles and scope." Tell that to the GMC. Both are physicians with professional obligations.
  19. When a rugby guy goes down, half a general hospital runs on but the play doesn't stop.
  20. "A chunk of a player's wages" - I hope that's not an admission that payments under the scheme were earnings subject to tax at source.
