  1. Compared to MOTD Sportscene is absolute garbage but is always a must watch after we beat Celtic.

  2. I do normally watch and listen after we beat them. I don’t expect much, but my word, last night was by far the worst coverage I have seen. Sportscene, most people have probably already heard about. The whole thing was discussed from Celtic’s point of view, our last two goals weren’t even shown. They could have talked about Defoe scoring in what could be his last game but no, it ends with a literal Scott Brown tribute reel showing him scoring goals against Rangers. You couldn’t make it up. Sportsound, I have to admit I was expecting at least some improvement on that but it was dire listening. They managed to talk about the transition at Celtic for about 40 minutes. All the ins and outs, will Lawwell still advise from afar? Literally nothing said about Rangers other than in the context of discussing what Celtic have to do because they have been surpassed. This is a disgrace from a national broadcaster. One journalist having his press privileges removed doesn’t come close to justification for the constant Celtic-centric analysis and coverage and shameless lack of praise/analysis/anything of us. Well, funnily enough they never tired of talking about us when we were in the doldrums.

  3. Latest reports from Old Trafford suggesting that as soon as the Invasion began, Manchester United's French duo, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial surrendered unconditionally.

  4. I didn't realise Celtic was in the same league as Rangers.

  5. That is exactly what Mr Duncan Ferguson did. Well, perhaps not..... Burglary attempts at his homes In 2001, two burglars broke into Ferguson's home in Rufford, Lancashire. Ferguson confronted them and was able to detain one of them, who subsequently spent three days in hospital. The second man managed to flee but was eventually caught. Both men were sentenced to 15 months' imprisonment for their actions. In 2003, Ferguson caught another burglar at his home in Formby, Merseyside; the burglar attacked Ferguson, who retaliated. The burglar was hospitalised and later alleged that Ferguson had assaulted him, but this was dismissed by police.

  6. I know, you have to ask this question. They were acting like they werent Man Utd fans. I found it very dubious. Unfortunately I dont think this is a one off, it could have a domino effect. By all means have a protest although Im never sure what Protests gain unless they are in mammoth numbers but going into the stadium is effectively break-in. Obviously they didnt envisage getting the game called off but whether that is something that now gathers momentum to hit owners in the pocket is another thing. On the pitch Arsenal rock up with a good performance which is what they do to paper over cracks but Arteta has to look at Martinelli and Aubameyeng and start them on Thursday.

  7. It's Monday evening after the old firm victory(4-1) the day before. Sportsound on BBC Radio Scotland are leading with Partick Thistle's League 1 championship win. The Jags manager, former 'Ger, Ian McCall is in the studio. Still raging, legitimately so at their demotion from the Championship on the SPFL's say so(where did that Dundee vote go over that particular weekend), he announces Thistle will NOT welcome any SPFL representatives to their trophy presentation on Tuesday evening. Tom English asks, "you're banning Neil Doncaster"? McCall answers, "Yes, and Murdoch McLennan". McCall goes on a wee rant about the governance of the Scottish game and concludes, "I don't know who Murdoch McLennan is, what does he do"? Tom English answers, "you are asking the wrong guy". Of course, Private Eye has known Murdoch McLennan for many years, his years running the Telegraph titles are summed up by the satirical magazine's preferred name for McLennan, "Shifty McGifty". Even better, why don't PQ go to their in house Murdoch McLennan expert? It's only a fortnight past that Stuart Cosgrove revealed he regularly shared a ride home to sarf London in Shifty's Chauffeur driven car, over a period of three years. Further, Cosgrove is Doncaster's lunch partner at Gamba. 27 years at PQ and a major briefer in Scottish football, and when Cosgrove can provide a real insight, no one deliberately so, wants to talk to him. These days, Cosgrove regularly criticises those using social media to comment on football, he doesn't like folk hiding behind usernames; isn't that so, Sarah Leyden? Even better, why don't Sellik TV get former employee, Michael Stewart to visit Shifty in his comfy heated green leather seat in the North Stand and ask the difficult questions on Scottish football goverance?

  8. Correct. When folks have RTV available but still choose Sportscene to watch Rangers then they deserve the garbage they get.

  11. Simpson lost Ajer at a couple of corners, one of which caused their goal. He ended up getting taken off marking him. He got turned inside out by Edouard late in the first half and had to be saved by a great tackle by Davis. He failed to stop the cross which led to the Turnbull chance. He even got turned inside out by Kenny late in the game and looked decidedly dodgy every time he was one on one with an opponent. He looked comfortable with the ball at his feet and had a good interception in the first half but defensively I thought he was relatively poor.

  13. Ra Hoops trudge off the hallowed turf a well beaten outfit. A fitting OF swansong for Lego and The Bravest Man in Football reverts to type and blames the referee for his side’s woes. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch. We toyed with them at times and had a gear or two to slide into. Their rebuild job is sizeable to say the least, as you could argue that they need practically a whole team of new players. If Stevie, Ross and the board get it right in the summer, there is a great opportunity to put some daylight between us and them. Enjoy the rest of your day brothers and sisters, I know I will.

  16. Well they sat around on their arses while protestors pulled down statues and defaced the Cenotaph last summer - why should we expect anything else from the PC Police.

  17. Suddenly thinking a player didn't have a great game means he is a scapegoat. ? I guess some think we should only praise players. Oh, and it WAS Simpson who got turned inside out and needed Davis to make the tackle.

  18. Didn't realise all teams had dropped down a league?

  19. It was Goldson that Davis saved but there appears to be a celebration emerging that after months of searching we've finally got our scapegoat back. And you know how dearly we cherish our scapegoats. Otherwise surely we would be cataloguing the mistakes of every player yesterday.

  20. The amazing thing was watching the police escort them from the stadium what next if you catch the burglars in your home , give them a coffee and wait for the police to come round to run them home

  23. Podcast was a good listen this morning, first one Ive listened to in ages. Discussion was spot on although if I was Colin Id still have had a few cans after the game ? Stewart Weir is great - I use to hear him often on Talksport during the night UK time and always thought he was on the ball. Fully agree about McGregor and the save he tipped onto the bar - I think its maybe went 'slightly' under the radar as to how good it was, it was going in.

  24. Liam the sheep's commentary did not survive but, absolutely, ten man celtic deserved more goals. That Sportscene offering reached desperate levels - even for that rancid organisation. Their pain is very satisfying though.

  32. They couldn't touch kent with a bargepole today. He ripped them apart. I was his biggest critic but I have to say He has stepped up a level this season , especially when we play the mhanky mob. I think he's the most improved player at the club.

  37. What a strike by Aguero it was. I think he is tailor made for Barca next season if Messi stays. Man City fans are living in a terrific era right now that they are seeing their clubs best ever spell and dont need to compare generations. They can have have the debate about their best ever player. Silva and Kompany were class but Aguero will go down as their all time best IMO. He will win all five Premier Titles in the past ten years. Quick comment on Everton - everytime they have had a chance to get ahead of Liverpool they bottle it. Ancelotti has got some work to do in the summer.

  38. Switching Tracks. I caught the extra time and penalties of the Killie - St Boo Scottish Cup quarter-final on BBC Scotland's second channel. I feel everything is a lottery on the Rugby Park pitch, but my ghast was truly flabbered when PQ went straight over to the Scottish Cup semi-final draw, live. Hosting the draw was none other than Creepy Connie McLaughlin. You have got to marvel at the continual reciprocal agreement going on between BBC Scotland and ra Sellik. When Lennon's Sellik were turfed out of the Champions League last August in the qualifying rounds, it was decreed the problem lay in the players lacking mental toughness. This was resolved amid considerable publicity, a Consultant was brought in to Lennoxtown to work on both players and coaching staff. The Connie Choo-choo came around the bend, a steaming and a rolling. Connie has her own company, 'Inner Buzz' and she NEVER misses an opportunity to encourage everyone to rawk their inner buzz. Well, how did Connie's efforts do? In August, ra Sellik had all three domestic trophies and the Europa League to navigate. The tracks were laid down and Lennie the Tanked Engine strained for purchase. Two years past, BBC Scotland's second channel was launched in a flurry of publicity, it would provide programmes pertinent to new, modern Scotland. We have had the documentaries on Priest School, the First Communion, ............. etc. Why have we not had the documentary revealing the trials and tribulations of Creepy Connie doing her Casey Jones? I mean everybody loves a train wreck, don't they? Anyways, sustained by brotherly love, Connie emerges from the carnage to present the Scottish Cup draw. It shows as one green'n'grey hooped project hits the buffers, it's easy to change tracks and remain seriously Sellik minded at PQ. Seamless shunting in a yard full of Annie McGuire, Angela Haggerty, Jane Graham, Michael Stewart ... etc, everyone guaranteed a good standard of life. Choo-choo!

  39. BBC Scotland news just reporting David Turnbull is free to play against Rangers at Ibrox next week. He will not be cited. Apparently, kicking Dylan McGeoch after the ball has gone, is legitimate? I cannot help but think if the PQ CSC had put a bit more effort into highlighting the offence ............... Anyways, talking of PQ; Michael Stewart was outraged at Turnbull's actions and is demanding Alfredo Morelos is the recipient of a six match ban. Talking of Michael, he has not been doing much talking on BBC Scotland recently. Rangers supporters complained about his lack of support for Kamara's claims of racism emanating from Slavia Prague player, Kudela. Michael preferred to utilise Rangers complaint reference Gardyne of Ross County, we should not complain, players might have misheard, "just like the alleged homophobic comment made by Michael Gardyne". Michael Stewart has been deliberately kept away from matters Rangers on both TV and Radio. It's similar to last years rant from the former Manchester United star, Michael stuck it on James Traynor knowing he would have no comeback. Michael was ignored by PQ for several weeks, it allowed Michael to settle in at his new gig, Celtic TV. BBC Scotland has announced that there will be no disciplinary action taken against Michael this time, because those 1,000 Rangers supporters complaining had done so, "in a targeted manner". There you have it, Rangers supporters are sinister and David Turnbull kicked out at nobody.
