  1. Earlier this year I was in Manchester and saw a car being broken into in broad daylight. There must have been 40-50 other people watching this happen and yet they did nothing. As the thieves struggled to combat the car's defences I ran over and confronted them. There were 3 of them which appeared to give them the confidence to mouth some abuse back at me. Just then, another two people joined me and only then did these criminals run off. I thought about all the others who stood back and watched, possibly just thankful that it wasn't their car. In the past 3 years we've witnessed a collapse in the democratic system. I don't want to get into a political debate but the point is that once again a huge portion of the public will just sit back and watch a referendum result be overturned by politicians because they didn't like the result anyway. And now this clear corruption at the heart of our game. I'm sure many Celtic fans will just love how we (and other clubs too) have been negatively affected by this system. They will sit back and treat it as entertainment because it causes them no harm. However, supporters and officials from all clubs should be considering the bigger picture. How has this been allowed to happen? The rules of football (yes .... RULES) are being changed by one woman who is more interested in pursuing an agenda rather than protecting the integrity of our game. The rules regarding the role of the referee are not being applied and yet very few other clubs are in outrage about this. Are we to wait until their cars are stolen or vandalised before they react? Are we to wait until their votes mean nothing before they show their support for law and justice? All clubs' officials and supporters should be demanding that this situation is addressed immediately. Everyone should be insisting that this should not ever be allowed to happen again. It's in my opinion clearly corrupt (but I'll settle for "not fit for purpose") and it's an embarrassment to our nation's premier league that we continue to tolerate it.

  3. I do wonder, however, whether the Dornan tweet calling for action by Celtic is the first part of a co-ordinated plan to put this to bed without Celtic losing too much face. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out but I believe someone is pulling Dornan's strings behind the scenes.

  4. Having read the Record's front page and the following double page spread inside I think the writer involved must have missed Peter's call because the article is damning, probably the most damning piece as yet published on this scandal in Scotland so far.

  6. At the foot of the BBC sport page (the main one, not PQ) there’s an option to pick the team. I got ten Rangers into mine plus McGregor of the Hibs. He only gets in because for some reason there’s no option for Ryan Jack and I couldn’t pick Worrall. Get to it chaps. I wish I’d picked Worrall.

  8. No shit its an embarrassment for Scottish Football. It's been one since it was conceived but, no surprises, Celtic only moan about it when their kangaroo court somehow can't deliver what they want. This was always one that a good lawyer ought to have been able to drive a coach and horses through. Glad they have.

  9. When the 4Lads pod was posted on here I thought I'll listen to the first 20 minutes and then save the rest until later. Well, all my tasks are still in my inbox because I ended up listening to all of it. Thoroughly enjoyed that again, and great that @Stevie - 4lads Blogwas able to get that insight from Chris and Willy too. Now I know McPake isn't playing on Sunday I'm off to change my GPL prediction from him to Dapo Mebude instead. No wonder @buster. was happy to make that bet with me!!! Listening to DJ is always great. Unlike many of the recent era pretenders, he's a real Ranger. He loves the club and that comes across in everything he says. He's a top man, and his story was told with real passion. That story about the Bayern Munich outfield players was astonishing. I had never heard about that before and it's important we don't lose fascinating details like that. It makes the win that year all the more incredible. You asked him some great questions and he seemed delighted to take the time to answer them all. Keep up the tremendous work, and of course great job again by the Gersnet team in producing this. Top quality!!!!

  10. Best of luck to the lads - good to see the club support them like they are

  11. Agree completely. Hopefully a few more journalists now grow some balls and pursue this to its full conclusion. If the upper echelons at Celtic really did whitewash it in the 1980's and just expected the victims to slink off and live with their shame and hurt, then they really deserve everything that is coming to them.

  12. Flanagan did not appeal. This procedure was an appeal by celtic against the failure of the referee to show a red card.

  13. Swearing at someone for pointing out the truth? Classy.

  14. So Flanigan wins appeal. Can i dare suggest that there was a method to all this madness all along like had Simunovic been charged and found guilty he would have missed the cup final. Flanigan winning his appeal just another deflection tactic.

  15. That hinders, not helps, Celtic's position. It suggests that even their investigations were mismanaged.

  17. I think the improvement in our midfield is the reason our defence is looking better, but I'll concede you might have a point. Being charitable to Flanagan he needs a run at right back before I can fully right him off as the Scouse Kevin Muscat.

  18. The Daily Record has had a commercial arrangement with Sellik FC for several years. The tabloid prints both ra Sellik View and ra Sellik match day programme. Thus : Peter picks up the phone and tells Keef to do the necessary.

  21. The Simunovic incident was referred and reviewed and it was determined there was no offence committed against Simunovic so the case dismissed?

  23. Not so sure the first team is tbh. Talk of bringing quality in is fine but when you have functioning consistent and creative quality already here, going into a season that I think is make or break regards stopping 10IAR, you have to pull out all the stops to keep him and nothing but real top dollar should be entertained.

  25. As of now, we have Matt Polster as right-back in waiting, bought by SG for a purpose ... even when we had Tav, Barisic, Flanagan and Halliday. I do assume that Baraisic and Halliday willbe kept for the left flank, with Flanagan and Polster working the other side. Yep, I do assume that Tav might well be off ... at least I am prepared that it may happen.

  26. Was it Lowe who said that Aberdeen was a bigger club than Rangers (or something to that effect)? If so, he should be discounted on the grounds of imbecility.
    1 point
  27. Not sure if there's any truth in the Lowe rumour but he's always impressed me this season so would definitely be a useful and cheap option.

  28. Quick detour Flanagan and Katic have made us more solid at the back. No coincidence that they were both in a successful defence at the start of the season. Am I joking ?

  29. The quality of discussion and insight on the various Rangers pods is excellent. We're now self sufficient when it comes to news and educational materials, and no longer rely at all on the mainstream media. I've said it many times before but how embarrassed they should be that they produce nothing of any interest, insight or entertainment in comparison, despite the budgets they have. Well done and thank you to all those bears who take the time to produce these pods, blogs, and forums.

  31. Honestly, the more Keith Jackson listens to the ranting voices inside his own own head, the less able he seems to think clearly let alone act with any kind of dignity..
    1 point
  32. I know he's been better recently but the longer Flanagan is banned for the better as far as I'm concerned... Also, I think we need to bear in mind that if anyone is an expert on looking ridiculous it's Keith Jackson. An expert speaks, we should all listen. I quite liked the "rhyming slang" line though. I'm happy for the club to point out the constant inconsistencies and to do it publicly, at some point maybe a journalist will start to look into them instead of slagging us for pointing them out.

  33. Exactly and another thing is why is there only one camera angle on this assault? were the others trained somewhere else or has the film been locked away in the vault containing the effigy evidence.

  34. The usual unofficial and unsatisfactory procedure would seem to be that it usually gets out to journalists and is then reported on. It's another reason to ridicule the process but I doubt the leaks will be pure bullshit. I think you could use Scott Brown as exhibit X and go through a couple of seasons of videos and put forward a slam dunk case against Mr.Untouchable, Sportscene, C.O., the process and how a lack of transparency allows blatant injustice to thrive.

  35. When Rangers tried to appeal Morelos's red card against Aberdeen, they were told that only full speed video could be used and their slowed down video which showed Morelos was innocent was deemed inadmissible. Now it seems that an incident can only be found guilty if it's shown in slow motion. Yet again, the rules are changing. And that's ignoring the fact that one angle is sufficient to assess that Simunovic is guilty.

  36. There's something profoundly sad about Graham Spiers. Imagine being reduced to protecting a paedophile ring.
