I have been in France these last 18 days. We have played three and lost three, conceding eleven goals and scoring nil. I am returned, heading to the Stadium for a spot of lunch then, we will thump Dundee United.4 points

To be honest I’d have taken any win today after those 3 defeats but there is no logic to team selection & tactics. why did an 18 year old start at CB today ahead of the guy who’s been playing regularly and the £4m Ben Davies? what does the manager think of Ryan Kent’s contribution ? Should he be dropped? who was playing wide right today? Arfield isn’t ideal there is he? How did Kamara & Matondo make the squad v Napoli but neither on the bench today? Why did we do nothing about the goalkeeper situation in the summer? We’ve now recalled 40 year old McGregor. Not exactly a long term solution is it?3 points

You think when we are scouting players we would look deeper into the character of the players we will be investing millions on, I heard when he was at schalke he had snaps of him in a Dortmund shirt albeit in his private time training he strikes me as someone of very little loyalty or respect.3 points

I saw him on the free agent list a couple of weeks ago. His recent playing history is shocking, constantly injured. A perfect signing for us.2 points

That was painful to watch. Hanging on against a team that have shipped goals galore. Our team is utterly devoid of any creativity or enguinity. There is not one player that increases your pulse rate or gets you off your seat. It truly is brutal. Saying all that...as bad as we were today, it must be demoralizing for players (that are clearly struggling) to see a half empty stadium with 5 mins to go in a game that is on a knife edge. I'm genuinely starting to worry about our manager. As much as we want young players to get game time, I'm always somewhat wary when they are thrown into a struggling side. King looks a decent option but if Davies is fit enough for the bench, he's fit enough for the starting XI. I presume our substantial outlay on him was with a partnership with Goldson in mind? Why not get him in? I'm also still not convinced as some others seem to be by Tillman. IMO he's far too slow on the ball.2 points

By now I have come to the conclusion that much like SG, Gio as a former DM/CM simply likes workmanlike dire-shows that grind out results. No will to play offensive football or change things when he has the options. this is really really aweful tactics and we seemingly have no will to change it, unless it becomes absolutely necessary. How I hate it being correct about pre-game predictions ... Grab them three points and run.2 points

Imagine how many goals Colak would score if we actually created a decent number of quality chances for him?2 points

Started well scored a goal then fell asleep and letting them back in the game. Standard2 points

I am fully aware that you will know this, but if you press reply and that text field opens, there is an icon above it, two slots left to the "A". If you mark the full line up and press that icon, it will align the text in the centre. You may change size and press B too ... McGregor Tav/Devine - Goldson - King - Barisic Lundstram Arfield - McCann Morelos - Kent Colak I'd chuck a few of the old brigade and stop being defensive ... its the Arabs, after all. McGregor King - Goldson - Davies Lundstram Matondo/Arfield - Tillman - Ridvan Morelos - Colak - Sakala2 points

He came in and had a 55 style season where he massively overachieved by winning the league and became an instant hero. He didn’t build on it at all though, finished 4th and then 3rd and played rubbish football in the process. That’s why I was concerned when we went for him, his CV was mixed at best, he did not recruit well and went backwards. Two transfer windows in here and I’ve already lost trust in his ability to improve his squad, entering yet another season with Kent undroppable due to lack of competition was a huge mistake. With 12 months on his deal we should have been asking his agent to find a buyer.1 point

Brendan Rogers might be looking for a job next week. 😉1 point
-
That is the usual short term measure. Sometimes a decent manager won't want the job until the summer when he can sort things out. He doesn't want to be pulled under by a squad with too many on the downhill slope of their Ibrox careers. Call Mr. Murty !! 😉1 point

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Deary me. In my defence, it's been a long week at work...1 point

Meh ... terrible performance against a team that's lost 20+ goals in their last 4 games. Started really well and scored a great opening goal then stopped playing. Did the exact same 2nd half. 3 points, 2 goals for TC but bot much more to take from the game.1 point

Thought he would have learnt from Ross County approach. Why go back to double pivot. Scared of falling behind / feeling pressure.1 point

I'm delighted to see King and McCann get well-deserved starts, but the rest of that line-up, middle to front, is so uninspiring.1 point

Gio has been looking at my line up in the OP again. Only difference is he went for Jack, I went only 1 defensive mid.1 point

What can you like about a line up with three DM/CMs, a winger, an attacking MF and one striker AT Ibrox against a poor side that shipped 9 goals at home against the Scum? Our defensive approach will kill us - again - this season. Wonder why Ridvan is not even on the bench.1 point
-
Dreary me, "same procedure as every week ... " How do we hope to win games with one striker, a blank-firing winger and a well-worn soldier, yet have firepower galore on the bench. We`ll "work the Arabs down" ... so so sad.1 point

Apart from City and two or three more I think that’s right. Put Raith v Arbroath on at a big stadium with a full crowd for a bit of atmosphere and commentators and “pundits” alike would be screaming in exultation about similar mediocrity.1 point
-
Come on, BSRT. Dundee Utd and their supporters haven’t had a chance yet to show their respect and loyalty yet.1 point
-
I'm not really a fan of public grief or the national anthem but if it drives away one Scottish Nationalist from Ibrox then I'd like it to continue ad infinitum.1 point

Aye, it'll come down to self interest (PR). Well played the Rangers board.1 point

UEFA have probably noted the positive reaction to the anthem and thought the negative press they'd get from fining us wouldn't be worth it.1 point

Yeah, I was surprised too, but perhaps because it was quick and done respectfully without it being anti- anything we got away with it.1 point

I'm expecting him to start tomorrow and hopefully got onto a nice run of games...1 point

When people say Dave King has a point, what point is it he has? How quickly we forget just what a financial basket case of a club we were until very recently. A reminder our last published accounts showed our "pre-tax loss widened from £17.8m to £24.7m (£24.2m after tax), as revenue fell £11.3m (19%) from £59.0m to £47.7m, partly offset by increases in other income, up £1.4m to £3.4m, and profit on player sales, up £1.0m to £1.7m, while expenses were down £2.3m (3%)." Where the fuck do we think the Europa League money has gone? There's no way Dave King doesn't know that either. We were a club haemorrhaging money until very recently, this shouldn't come as news to any supporter to pays the slightest attention to the club. To say that the board aren't communicating on this is very strange, what exactly is it people expect them to say? We've been told many, many times that the only way the club can function is by either qualifying for the Champion's League or by selling players. This can't come as news to anyone. So, had everyone forgotten this? We didn't qualify for the Champion's League last season, even with the Europa League run it's debatable if we'd have gone into the black without the sales of Paterson and Aribo. Another thing I'm always curious about when this comes up is do supporters expect the directors who have covered these losses for several seasons to write that money off or do we think it's okay for them to get some or all of it back? I don't think our support are in the remotest way yet ready for the reality of what it takes to run a club like ours in the Scottish league system and not have a sugar daddy pick up the slack. This, this now is reality. Sell our most valuable players, search for bargains to replace them with. That's what we did in the summer, that's what we'll need to do every summer unless the SPFL sign a new, and very different, TV deal with someone.1 point
